Sticky Notes To Myself. New Shamps Day.

Do you leave yourself cryptic sticky note reminders as well?  We all have computers, calendars and smart phones with built in reminders these days but there’s nothing more rewarding than being able to peel a sticky note off something when you’ve completed something on your to do list.

At work today, I had to ‘triangle clock back 1 hour’.  Why write the word change when you can simply draw a large triangle instead?

There was no need for a sticky note on my new work tea bags.  These are my special Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Tea for Hard Water tea bags.  The tap water at work doesn’t taste great and tea made using it tastes strange.  I put all of that together and decided that clearly it must be a hard water problem.  I came to this conclusion off the top of my head really, because I tried to google it and for once, couldn’t find a straight answer.  Anyway, the bottom line is that this morning’s cuppa actually tasted like tea and I have 79 more cups of tea that tastes like tea left at work.

Then the day descended into relentless busyness.  Which made the day go by quickly but it also meant that I had a really late lunch that ended with a chunk of banana bread topped with cream cheese and honey.  I’m crediting the banana bread with getting rid of my headache.  The worst of the weekend is over and I’ve survived.

I reached a milestone today.  I celebrated New Shamps Day.  It seems to take me forever to finish average sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner.  Not to mention the temptation to try the latest and greatest power couple of hair washing advertised in the magazines every other week.  I’m trying to keep on the straight and narrow with my beauty budget by trying to shop supermarket brands for hair care as much as possible as a trade off for how much I spend on skin care and cosmetics.

Pantene’s Aqualight went down a treat with my hair but I’ve been playing the field and decided to try the new L’Oreal EverSleek range.  It’s sulfate and silicone free as well.  My first impressions are good.  They don’t seem as heavy as the Pantene version and so far are doing as good a job.  Both are available at supermarkets and Priceline though EverSleek is more expensive by several dollars, from memory.

I’m going to wrap things up there, I think.  Off to the sofa to channel surf a bit.  Take care and don’t forget it’s the Easter 4 Day Long Weekend this time next week!
