I Heart Blogsy. Parlour Lane With Carly.

May I just start by saying that this post is being tapped out on my iPad with Blogsy which is the best app ever for iPad bloggers. This is the first time I’m using it and I’m loving the easy interface with Instagram. Check it put if you haven’t already. Blogsy has given me both convenience and a new zest for blogging.
It felt a bit strange stepping out without either the baby or his nappy bag today.

Bag – Louis Vuitton, shoes – Tory Burch,  jeans – Maternal America.

I actually felt a bit naked and as if I’d left something and someone behind. Which I had now that I think about it. It’s been a while since I’ve had to think too hard on a Sunday actually but that’s by the by.

It was also the first time this year that I’ve been able to wear my Red Phoenix jewels around my neck. As beautiful as they are, they’re too nice to wear around the house and too much of a distraction for Baby SSG. It was a happy reunion having the comfortable weight of their beads around my neck and hearing their familiar soft clacking sound again.

The coffees are fantastic at Parlous Lane.

The reason for all this finery? I was off to meet Carly and her lovely mum for a cup of coffee in the city. They were here in Sydney for the weekend and unfortunately got caught in the rain. The Findlay ladies and I met at Parlour Lane, the cafe at the retro glam QT hotel.
Cherry Danish – $5.
Good chatter was exchanged amongst us over some fabulous coffee and pastries. I don’t know how they did it but the pastries at Parlour Lane do not have that hotel pastry heaviness that often ruins a hotel breakfast buffet. My cherry Danish was light and zingy with the taste of cherries without being weighed down by that heavy fluro yellow custard that afflicts many an innocent catering company Danish.

After morning tea, we did our traditional power shop. It’s the best cardio for Sundays full of good food.

We are all loving Sussan this season. The colourful knits, the ponchos…. the drop crotch pjs.

Just joking about loving the last one but I tell you no lies, there really are drop crotch one piece pjs in store at the moment. as tempting as they may be, I’m holding out for the flannel pyjamas that come out around Mother’s Day.

Then it was off to Cue where stirrup pants are back…. for $220 or so. Having seen and worn them the first couple of times they were the height of fashion (with braces and scrunchies), I think I’ll save my pennies this time and pass on them.

Well, that’s it from me today. I hope this post makes a smooth transition from Blogsy to you.

Carly, hope you both made it back to Melbourne okay!
