Senseless Loss.

It doesn't seem right to be blogging today without acknowledging the Boston Marathon explosions that occurred at around 5am Sydney time today.  As each day passes, it seems that we are fighting a losing battle in keeping innocent and peaceful those things that in another time we would have never have even thought to associate with violence and death.  Schools, universities, busy commercial areas and now marathons....

The senseless loss of innocent lives seems relentless and increasingly, frighteningly even more random.  And to what end?  The only 'message' I can see is yet more futile pain and grief.  The bloodshed fails to endear me to the political or religious agendas that are often raised up as the motivation for these attacks.
