Test Post With Bonus Content.

I think everything is back to normal now.

Just a normal Thursday morning here.  Waiting for my post PT coffee.

A few weeks back, a few lovely and loyal readers alerted me to some issues with my latest blog posts not making it onto their reading lists.  According to Blogger, SSG sank without a trace sometime around March 9 2015 and I assure you, this has not been the case.  Google told me to delete the feedburner feed attached to the blog and it looks as if that’s done the trick.  All my posts since March 9 are now on my Blogger reading list but I am not sure if the tweak was enough to get your feedly and other reader feeds up to speed.

If you do get this post on your feed, could you please let me know?

Speaking of getting up to speed, it hit me today that it’s less than a week until I get on that plane to New York.  Which means that I have less than a week to get organised and packed.  It sounds like an awful lot of time for a week long trip but I’ve gotten myself overwhelmed by fretting over the small details.

Which include:

  • How to convert treadmill speeds from kmh to mph…

Thanks to the world wide web, I’ve got all the speeds I need converted and written onto this handy yellow index card ready to go into my suitcase with the PT program I have been given for while I’m away.

  • The dismal exchange rate and how on earth am I going to remember which of my travel cards is the primary one and which is the spare.

Holding out in the hope of a better rate hasn’t exactly paid huge dividends.  Plus, everyone else who had the same idea beat me to the bank this week and my local branch was all out of US dollars today.  So I have a special currency order coming in early next week and I just hope I remember to drop by before I leave.  I have, however, figured out which of my cards is the primary one.  It’s the one with a length of I heart NYC washi taped across the front.

  • My lack of a Word doc itinerary or packing list.
Solution?  Revisiting the golden, olden days of rulers, pens, highlighters and paper.  Who knew that ruling up a page could be so therapeutic?  I’m a bit stumped about what clothes to pack (as usual) because the weather forecast for now looks great for New York but it’s so changeable there, like Sydney only more extreme.  Might pack heavier clothes and pick up warm weather gear on our outlet run the first day we’re there.  Genius.  I’m going with that.
  • What to bring as carry on.  I have no idea what’s left in any of these amenity kits but I think I saw at least two mini Evian sprays, a half bottle of rose hip oil and a baby Rexona.  What the heck, let’s Oprah it and bring them all on board.
Wow, that’s a fair bit of theoretical progress I’ve made.  The actual packing may not be as harrowing as I feared it would be.
Outside of the packing and trip prep angst, it’s actually been a rather lovely day at SSG Manor.  A slow, restful one.

I progressed my guilt ridden glances at my yoga gear reclining in a corner of the lounge room and actually did a few asanas this morning.  I must have looked terribly bent out of shape as I did them but I felt stretched and a little more balanced afterward.  Enough to keep it up.

SSG Manor is officially all out of Salted Caramel Lindor Balls.  Toddler SSG found my stash and abandoned his two fingers of milk chocolate Kit Kat for the last couple.
Once again, thank you all for your ongoing support of my blog despite the technical issues.  If anything else crops up, please do let me know.
