Things that the time poor me is loving right now.
Waterproof name stamps like this one from Stamptastic . So much easier than sew in (who does these anymore.... anyone?!?) and iron on labels (which have a nasty habit of peeling off if you're as much of a dryer devotee as I am). All you need to do is order your stamp and stamp pad of indelible, waterproof ink then wait for them to arrive before simply stamping on any item of clothing you might wish to permanently label.
The stamp itself features a sturdy acrylic handle which allows you to see the direction the print is facing through the top allowing you to easily align the label on the area you wish to label. I've had success stamping on both perfectly smooth areas of clothing such as at the neck as well as on elasticated waistbands. The ink is only available in black and looks as if one pad will last for hundreds of impressions. I wonder how far into Preschooler SSG's school life ours will last for?

My other love this week is a slightly guilty and naughty one.
Yesterday's eyeliner. Liquid, gel or pencil - it matters not though it must be black.
Do you love a bit of leftover eyeliner yourself?

Your adulting is on point
ReplyDeleteYou know what? You've just exposed one of my guilty secrets too...shhhh #TeamLovinLife
ReplyDeleteOh, I waterproof stamp - sounds like a great idea. I've got heaps of business cards leftover from years ago and changed addresses last year. I'm going to a writing conference thingy in August and it occurred to me that I should either get new cards (*sigh*) or find some classy sticker to put over my old PO box number to replace it with the new one.... I'm sure I should be able to print something but that's way too hard! #teamlovinlife
ReplyDeleteOh that waterproof stamp idea is good!! I have never used liquid eyeliner before. Am I missing out on something?? #TeamLovinLife
ReplyDeleteThat stamp sounds great. I have not heard of it before.
ReplyDeleteOh the labour-intensive part of sending your child to school. The labelling and all that is so helpful but (I hate to tell you this) hats and jackets still go missing or home with the wrong child. A hint I was given by a family member is to buy 2 of the school hats so if one goes missing or is left at home, use the one you keep in the car...and then your child can still play in the playground. Most schools have 'no hat no play in the sun' rules. School mum very soon...it's coming fast isn't it? Denyse xx
ReplyDeleteI am the laziest of make-up removers. I use baby wipes to take mine off - very slack, but they work and are cheap!
ReplyDeleteI wish the waterproof stamp was around when my kids went school. I spent a fortune on custom made sticky labels that fell off once the garments were washed a few times. :) #TeamLovinLife
ReplyDeleteThat waterproof stamp is going on my list for my grandson. I haven't heard of them before. Have a great week SSG!

I like the idea of the waterproof stamp! I have a permanent marker someplace I use to label the clothes - works well when I write it on care tags and I try put it near the end of the tag as much as possible so I just trim it a little before passing the clothes on or donating them. After getting a few opshop pieces of clothing with names in them I realised I'd need a system to take the names off of ours easy! So far so good :)
ReplyDeleteWow. This one eyeliner looks good to have and I think that this will give more attractive shades to eyes.
ReplyDeleteLOL - I'm wearing leftover eye liner right now. It can be tricky to get it ALL off! I've never been able to master the liquid stuff, so it's pencil all the way for me. Gotta be quick and easy. Love the stamps too! :) #TeamLovinLife
ReplyDeleteHahaha, That eyeliner quote from pinterest. Love it! #teamlovinlife
ReplyDeleteNever wear eyeliner anymore! That name stamp is a great idea - wish it had been around when my kids were at school :-)
