Lovin’ Life 7/12/2017: Preschool Graduation.

I can deny it no longer.  I’m in my final weeks as a preschooler and daycare mum.  Preschooler SSG had his graduation over the weekend.
It was a beautiful afternoon. The teachers and support staff put in so much effort and care to ensure that the afternoon went off without a hitch.  Special balloons and a red carpet greeted us as we entered the preschool space.
A Wall of Fame featured photo ‘stars’ of the entire graduating class.

The highlight of the afternoon was a short film featuring all the children at home and at school.  The preschoolers loved it and excitedly called out each other’s names as their classmates graced the big screen.

Then each child was called up to the stage to receive their star.

I won’t lie.  I was a little teary while we watched the film and I’m even more teary now.  I’m going to miss preschool and day care life.  The families who started with us when the centre literally opened its doors for the first time just over two years ago.  The daily chats with random children in the centre at drop off and pick up.  The weekly update post giving us a run down on the incredibly packed days of learning and fun that is preschool in 2017.

But most of all, I’m going to miss but be forever grateful to the real stars behind the graduating class of 2017 – the two class teachers who’ve been there each day with so much energy, dedication, patience, tenderness and care for our children.  They’ve given our children the joy of learning and the wonder of using their imaginations.  Through it all, they’ve also helped them become amazing little people who are able to extend the fun, love and joy that have been given to them in preschool.

Thank you and we’ve been so very lucky to have had you share this year with us.
