Continental Drift 1/7/2018: Things That Make Me Happy.

Welcome to our Continental Drift linkup! The reason we are  dabbling at a link up was that we wanted to connect and learn from bloggers from all across the world about their passions and lifestyle.  We will host the  Continental Drift link-up the first of every month.  The concept for myself and my fellow hosts (Mutton Style & Bo’s Bodacious Blog) is that we, the hosts, will write a post about our life on our continent/Country/state over the past month (hence the name) and our favorite thing from the month.

From  June 1st we began writing around a prompt.  You are welcome to join us using the prompt  or link-up with  any family friendly topic that you like,  be it DIY, cooking, sewing, crafts, lifestyle, de-cluttering, traveling, moving homes, fashion, style, beauty, make up, etc. Your hosts to this linkup come from UK, Canada and Australia.  Enjoy getting to know each other!

Things that make me happy.  What a joyful theme to write about!

Food with built-in smiles.  Swiss cheese and tomato croissants, smiley-faced eggs…..

Disney Land.  I’m not a theme park person but Disney Land really is one of the happiest places on earth.

How can you not have a smile on your dial and pep in your step when you’re wearing a Minnie Mouse headband?  And a sequinned one at that.

Coffee is always a good thing.  Especially when it comes with a happy face on its lid.

Cheerful winter hats and mittens are a proven way to prevent the chill in the air from making you too miserable.

Champagne. No explanation necessary.

Smiling.  So simple yet I don’t do it enough.  When I’m extra grumpy, forcing my lips to smile forces the rest of my face to respond in kind.

Family.  They’re always in my heart and just a phone call or plane trip away.

Being barefoot in the sun on a deckchair.  With coffee.

New places.  Especially if they’re on the water.

This little guy.

The corner of the world we call home.
Sydney in general.
Being out and about with a camera.  The composition and focus of my photos are both pretty average but they punch well above their weight when it comes to recording memories and experiences.

What makes you happy?
