Hello, Friday Night.

It’s been another hectic week here as I’m sure it has been for you as well.

It’s Friday evening here and I’m sitting at my laptop with a mug of peppermint tea by my side dressed for a night of enjoying the great indoors and a bit of solitude.  I love Friday nights like this.

Here’s my week as captured by my iPhone camera.

I found these dinosaurs chatting over a recorder next to a rock on top of the sign at the park up my road.  Fascinated and touched at the artfulness of their arrangement, I shared what I saw with Instagram.  Wise people on Instagram advised me that I had just seen a bit of Dinovember – a month long celebration of bringing dinosaurs into our everyday lives.
I was actually walking to the garage to pick up my car.  It’s all fixed, I have my pink slip, my car is fully registered and I’m good to go for another year.  I even qualified for free registration this year.  That’s a first.  Thank you, NSW Government.

Woolworths launched their latest collectables this week.  To celebrate the Christmas that is so scarily close, a $30 spend gets you two cardboard figures to self-assemble and display on a $3 Christmas Tree Stand.  It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas at our place.

Behold the magnificence of this newish Sriracha release.  Also available at Woolworths, you are looking at a bottle of Sriracha Mayo.  You need some in your life.  You know you do.
It was an exciting day at school today for Master SSG.  He spent the day in the Year 1 (!!) classrooms as part of Move Up Day.  I remember his first day of Kindergarten.  It was three pairs of school shoes back and he was swimming in this uniform.  It all just fits now but I can see that I’ll be back at the uniform shop in January getting the next size up in everything.
And last but not least, a couple of school mum essentials.  Double sided sticky tape and a jar of spare googly eyes.  Both are invaluable for rehabilitating prized school creations that got hurt on the way home in the car.
Be well and have a lovely weekend.  I know I will.  I’ve ticked off a huge list of boring but necessary personal admin things this week, the weather is looking mostly okay and I’m planning a couple of long runs and some Christmas present shopping over these luxurious two days off.
