I'm finding it hard to let go of the need to take a photo of the scenery around me on a daily basis.  I could blame my recent travels but I know deep down that it's just me.

The photos are of the same vistas 99.9% of the time but I'm always convinced that there's something 'different' about today's photo compared to its cousin from five days ago.

Objectively speaking, though, isn't sunrise a beautiful time to be outdoors right now?  The sky has this gentle haze to it, toning down those electric colours of blue, purple, orange and pink just enough to make them palatable for life before that first cup of coffee.

Life after that first cup of coffee has been productive.  I'm in such a hurry to receive my personal share of the government's unprecedented generosity to taxpayers this year that I Express Posted my paperwork back to the accountant.  Bank balance watch begins as of now....

I've also learned the had way about claiming frequent flyer points with partner airlines.  Don't delete your email ticket until you've lodged your missing points application.  QANTAS for one needs not only your booking number, flight and personal details - they also need your ticket number and that's not something that frequently appears on the mobile phone app version of your ticket.  After some frantic searching, I found my ticket email and touch wood, my application will be successful.

It's bake sale day at school this Friday and I'm aiming to contribute a tray of Tim Tam Milo fudge, the recipe from Bake Play Smile is easy, foolproof and delicious.  Just the kind of recipe you need at the end of a long day at work.

Reporting from our Woolies Discovery Garden where our seedlings appear to be flourishing despite the length of time they've spent in my company.  I'll need to replant in the next little while, I think.  Fingers crossed they all survive the transition.  Especially the basil and coriander.

You know I was on the fence initially about The Ordinary's Squalane Cleanser?  Well, I've come to love it.  I find that it doesn't dry out my skin yet still manages to be a very effective morning cleanser.  I've come round to the concept of applying cleanser on dry skin too.  Best of all, it now also comes in a supersize which I've just ordered off Adore.

And that's it from me for today, I'm off to enjoy all these extra hours of evening sun we've suddenly been given.

Be well.
