Lovin’ Life 21/11/2019: Christmas Issues.

Not psychological issues about Christmas but the festive editions of food magazines….

The tree’s not going up until December 1 but in my head, it’s perfectly acceptable to be reading Christmas editions of food magazines in the last week of November.  Preferably while snacking on what are traditionally Yuletide Danish butter cookies (in Australia, at least).

Looking for Christmas lunch ideas in the December issue is a tradition of mine.  There’s always a dilemma when it comes to the trifle recipe.  Do I try something new or stick to Donna Hay’s white chocolate and raspberry show stopper that’s so good it becomes breakfast for the week of Festivus Inbetweenus.

I’m intrigued by the concept of traybake stuffing.  A stuffing made separately to the meat you intend to eat it with,  This particular version involves pork sausage and apples.  It’s going on the list right now.

Do you break your hard copy magazine fast for the holidays?  Do you have any favourite recipe genres?  Will you be making trifle this year?
